Adult attending virtual therapy session from home for anxiety, identity stress, or life transitions

Clinical Supervision for Associate Therapists (California)

Becoming a therapist is meaningful work — and it can also feel overwhelming, lonely, and full of self-doubt at times.
Clinical supervision is not only about collecting hours. It is about developing your voice, building confidence, and learning how to sit with complexity while staying grounded in yourself.

I offer virtual clinical supervision for Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFTs) in California seeking thoughtful support outside their primary workplace.

My goal is to provide a space where you can slow down, reflect, ask honest questions, and grow into the therapist you are becoming.

My Supervision Style

My approach is collaborative, reflective, and practical.
I believe supervision should feel supportive while also helping you think more deeply and strengthen your clinical decision-making.

In our work together, we may focus on:

  • Case conceptualization and treatment planning

  • Working with anxiety, perfectionism, and high-functioning clients

  • Perinatal and postpartum mental health

  • Cultural identity and intergenerational dynamics

  • Managing countertransference and therapist self-doubt

  • Documentation and ethical considerations

  • Boundaries, burnout prevention, and sustainable clinical practice

  • Building confidence in your therapeutic presence

Supervision is not about having all the right answers.
It is about learning how to stay curious, grounded, and intentional in your work.

About My Clinical Background

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor with experience supporting both clients and associate clinicians across community mental health, hospital outpatient, and telehealth settings.

In hospital-based outpatient programs, I worked with higher-acuity clients in intensive outpatient levels of care, supporting children, adolescents, and families navigating complex emotional and behavioral challenges and trauma.

Over the years, I have worked extensively with anxiety disorders, life transitions, cultural identity concerns, parenting stress, and perinatal mental health. My clinical work is informed by training in evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

In leadership roles, I have provided clinical guidance, case consultation, and professional development support to therapists at different stages of their careers. I am passionate about helping associates build confidence, strengthen their clinical thinking, and develop a sustainable and authentic therapeutic style.

My perspective is also shaped by my experience building a private practice, which allows me to support associates who are curious about long-term career paths, professional boundaries, and sustainable growth in the field.

You May Benefit from Additional Supervision If You Are:

  • Seeking more individualized clinical support

  • Wanting a deeper reflection than what is available at your workplace

  • Feeling anxious or unsure about your clinical skills

  • Working in hospital outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), school-based, or private practice settings

  • Supporting higher-acuity clients experiencing trauma, depression, or complex emotional needs

  • Working with children, adolescents, adults, or parents and families

  • Interested in strengthening your skills in anxiety or perinatal mental health treatment

  • Navigating identity, cultural, or family-of-origin themes in your clinical work

  • Thinking about private practice or long-term career direction

  • Wanting to grow with intention rather than simply “getting through the hours.”

Important Note

At this time, I provide clinical supervision services only and am not hiring associate therapists within my private practice.
Associates must be employed in a separate clinical setting to receive supervision hours.
